Toysmith Donation Policy & Mission

Our Donation Mission

At Toysmith, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to play, discover, and imagine—regardless of their circumstances. Through our donation program, we aim to bring joy and learning to children in need by supporting organizations that align with our core values: equity, education, wellness, and play.

We know the power of toys to spark curiosity, strengthen resilience, and create lasting memories. That’s why we choose to give intentionally, focusing our efforts where the impact is greatest.

Who We Support

We prioritize donations to the following types of organizations:

1. Underserved Youth & Families

• Nonprofits that provide services to children in foster care, transitional housing, domestic violence shelters, or low-income communities.
• Organizations offering after-school programs, camps, or mentorship for under-resourced populations.

2. Children’s Hospitals & Health-Focused Nonprofits

• Groups that support pediatric patients and their families with therapeutic play, emotional support, or activity kits.
• Mental wellness organizations that integrate play into their healing programs.

3. Educational Programs & Libraries

• Schools or nonprofits that use play to support STEAM learning, literacy, social-emotional development, and creativity.
• Mobile library or classroom initiatives that bring learning tools and play to remote or underfunded communities.

4. Community Resilience & Emergency Relief

• Disaster relief or community recovery organizations that provide comfort items and stability during challenging times.

Donation Beliefs & Guiding Principles

• Giving should be intentional. We choose partnerships that share our values and demonstrate real impact.

• Sustainability and dignity. We give high-quality toys that inspire pride, joy, and long-term value.

Donation Requirements

Organizations seeking donations must:

• Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit or equivalent charitable organization.
• Serve populations within the U.S. (International requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis).
• Demonstrate alignment with our donation mission and serve one or more of our focus areas.
• Agree to use donated products for direct program support—not for resale or individual fundraising efforts.
• Be able to receive, store, and distribute physical product donations.

How to Apply

To request a donation, organizations must submit:

• Send an email to Hello@toysmith.com with the following:
• A brief overview of the organization and its mission
• Information about how the toys will be used or distributed
• Proof of nonprofit status (IRS determination letter or similar documentation)

Please note: Due to the high volume of requests, we are unable to fulfill all donation inquiries. Preference is given to organizations with demonstrated impact and alignment with Toysmith’s values.
